As a technology solution provider, my current company demands a brand identity that reflects a leading edge position in the fast-moving world of software development. At the same time, because this technology plays a critical role in oversight for million-dollar assets, we need to project an image as an established, responsible advisor, similar to a bank or an investment firm.
I have written and designed branded print collateral for a wide range of needs including sales literature, software datasheets, and hardware cutsheets.
In order to maintain a consistent brand identity at all client touchpoints, I have created branded templates for all documents and presentations created by our team.
Branded office collateral includes letterhead, business cards, folders, decals, and signage.
For the company website I worked with a third party consultant and web developer to create content and design. You can see the website here.
Every year I create handouts, presentations, and booth design for events on our global tradeshow calendar. Particular demands for this collateral may include co-branding, translation to foreign languages, and designing to international print production standards.
My first employer in the energy sector had a much different branding challenge. While the technology focus was similar, my first employer sold into smaller scale markets. We were much more likely to sell to an installer or a contractor rather than negotiating pipeline contracts with international investor groups. This brand identity was approachable and friendly; even a bit blue-collar.
